Comments: Hallo from Ireland, I had a family member who was on a visit to Auschwitz and was surprised to see the surname Breslin on the wall of those murdered. I was very surprised to see the spelling being exactly that of my maternal family. My mothers name was Mary Breslin and I have carried out a lot of research but could your Breslin family have any connection to the Irish Breslin clan. Many thanks Gerry

Comments: Regarding the family name Breslin, it appears both Jewish & Irish, so does the family name Fox, also appears in European Jewish family names as "Fuchs" or "Lissek" (little fox) and of course in Ireland itself. There has been academic research discussion that many of the modern Irish are descendants (as well as the Gallegos in Spain) of expelled Israelites, going back to Emperor Hadrian Roman colonial era, where all Jews were expelled from ancient Judea, after the Jewish rebellion. The Israelites (& well as the Celts & Slavs) often had rebellions against the cruel & depraved Roman rulers. I just wonder what happened to the Gallilaen tribe in Judea (during the time of Jesus/Yushua) did this tribe break into 2 groups, 1 group being the modern day Kurds and the other group being the modern day Gallegos & Irish? The Irish, Scottish & Gallegos (Nth West Spain near Ireland) have distinct hybrid Celtic & Hebrew traits, that neighbouring Celtic nations (like Asturias or Wales) do not possess. Any comment readers? What does anyone think about this? Also the "The Harp of Erin" (El Harpo de Hibernia) was this "Harpo Gallego" really "The Harp of David" as legends suggest? Any comments to add?Is this Harp kept in La Coruna Basilica, as Legends suggest?

Comments: Thanks everyone for replies to my query. I am aware that lots of Irish emigrated to Argentina during the previous centuries and perhaps some converted to the Jewish faith but the Eastern European families called Breslin is fascinating. I have discussed getting my DNA test done and this may be a good a reason as any to find out my origins. I will share if I get this done in the near future.
