The vast majority of Argentine Jews are descended from immigrants who arrived from Europe.
These ashkenazic Jews migrated from small towns or shtetels of Poland, Lithuania, Russia, Germany, Romania or Ukraine, leaving behind most of their Jewish relatives.
After two or three generations, those Jewish families lost track of their relatives, having been saved from the war, emigrated to other countries like USA, England or Australia.

Deb | My grandfather, Samuel Kletzer, was born in Russia and emigrated to the U.S. in or around 1913. We recently found out that he had a brother named Bernardo Klecer (note the difference in the spelling) who emigrated to Argentina as the U.S. had closed its doors. We also found out he had a brother who was murdered in the Holocaust. There is a Boruch Klecer (named change to Bernard?) in the burial database. Any information would be helpful.
